Day Boats, Picnic Boats & Launch Hire - Horning, Norfolk Broads
Freedom Cruisers of Horning offers a selection of day boats, launches and picnic boats for hire from it's base at Horning in the centre of the beautiful Norfolk Broads.
Our day boat fleet goes by the name of Little Freedom and can be hired:
- By the hour (not available for prebooking)
- By the Day or Half Day
- By the Week
Our launches and picnic boats are perfect for exploring the Norfolk Broads network. Our day boats are low enough to get under all the bridges ensuring that you're not restricted to cruising only certain Broads and rivers. Best of all, you can take up to eight people with you for that great family day out.
Little Freedom - Norfolk Day boats
Our Little Freedom fleet of low-profile day boat launches are between 17 and 19 ft in length and can take up to eight people in comfort. There's a rear canvas canopy that is easily raised & lowered and a roll-up tonneau-style cover over the driving position to ensure that you can all enjoy the fresh air - even the helmsman.
Picnic Boats & Weekend Cruisers
Freedom Cruisers will also hire our smaller cabin cruisers for day hire. These are fully equipped cruisers with cooking facilities, toilet, hot & cold water, showers, heating and berths up to 4 people.
Our Picnic Boats start at just £75.00 per day and are inclusive of Insurance, Life Jackets and Fuel.
What's the difference betwen a Picnic Boat and a Day Boat?
Day Boat - a basic, low-level vessel that seats between six and eight people. Has a retractable canopy. Diesel powered. No facilities.
Picnic Boat - a fully featured cabin cruiser. Larger than a day boat, it has cooking facilities, WC and heating. Retractable canopy. Diesel Powered.

A day is considered to be eight hours from 9am to 5pm. In winter when afternoon light levels reduce before 5pm, a day is taken to be 9am until dusk. Half day is taken to be four hours from 9am or from 1pm until 5pm or dusk, whichever is sooner.
Hourly hire (day boats only) will be offered only to callers in person at the boat yard on the day of hire at our discretion and cannot be pre booked.

Horning Dinghy Hire
Freedom Cruisers has a selection of dinghies available to hire throughout the year.
There are three main categories of dinghy available: Rowing Dinghy, Sailing Dinghy and Fishing Dinghy.

*Multiple-day dinghy hire is subsidised for holiday hirers - anyone who is not hiring a cruiser with the dinghy will be subjected to a surcharge for weekly dinghy hire which shall double the cost.
